Our staff is made up of Bible nerds, spiritual practice superfans, numbers gurus, problem solvers, and talented musicians. We love Jesus, and our staff culture is proof that life in Jesus should be filled with joy.
Caitlyn Stenerson
Lead Pastor
Pastor Caitlyn loves helping everyday people discover God’s deep love for them and the life they can have in Jesus. Pastor Caitlyn holds a Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary. In her spare time, Pastor Caitlyn teaches Introduction to the Bible and Preaching at a local university. She loves hiking, discovering new neighborhood coffee shops, being on the water, and spending time with family and friends.
Alex Hovda
Assistant Pastor
Alex has been a part of our staff at Knox for a full decade! He is a graduate of Bethel Seminary and the University of MN, he wants to help everyone see God move in the world through small works of love. Alex and his wife, Rachel, have a happy baby and a truck-loving toddler and live in Richfield. Alex oversees our music and young adult ministries.
Tiara Lamb
Director of Discipleship
Tiara is passionate about cultivating spaces where everyone can truly know Jesus and practice His ways in community! Tiara is a student at Bethel University working on a Bachelor's of Theology. Tiara loves spending time in nature, practicing her Spanish, and doing nail art!
Amy Hinds
Choir Director
Amy has been serving in one capacity or another with Knox’s music team for many years. She is a talented musician as well as a great leader for our choir. Amy collects vintage items, makes excellent cookies, and is the smiling, helpful face at almost every Knox event.
Sally Downey
Bookkeeper
Meet Sally! In addition to helping us keep track of many different items around the office, Sally also heads up one of our Women’s Bible Studies, Esther’s Circle.
Steven Spohn
Hospitality
Meet Steven! Steven makes sure the coffee is hot, heads up volunteer coordination with our main outreach partner, Community Emergency Services, and helps out with Building and Grounds. He is a black belt in Karate and has a heart of gold.
Building & Grounds Crew
Meet the Building and Grounds crew (crew not fully pictured). When they’re not out at lunch or pranking our office staff, they’re keeping the building beautiful and functional (and with our historic building, that is a JOB!). They’re a very important part of our daily operations, and we love them all.
Pastoral Residents
Knox believes in handing a brightly lit torch to the next generation of teachers and preachers, and we help them prepare for God’s call on their life by offering a robust Pastoral Residency program through Bethel University. Our Pastoral Residents immerse themselves in the life of the church – preaching, teaching, providing pastoral care, and participating in all aspects of ministry at Knox.
