Sunday Morning Classes (September-May)
Our Adult Education program includes in-depth classes and discussions on the Bible and other topics relevant to our faith, and often taught by energetic and engaging professors from local seminaries or Knox’s own pastoral staff. Among the topics studied: How to Interpret the Bible, How the Bible Came to Be, overviews of the Old and New Testaments, Parables and How to Interpret Them, Psalms. The latest class offering will be posted on the front page of our website.
Small Group Opportunities
Choir. The Knox Choir meets at 6:30 Wednesday nights, and sings about twice a month as well as at Advent and Easter. For information, contact the choir director, Amy Hinds, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Small Groups. These gatherings of 6-10 people provide a time to study and pray together and to get to know others in the church. Following is a listing of the small groups. Most groups meet from September through May. If you’re interested in learning more, contact the group leader by sending an email to email@example.com.
- On Tuesday mornings, from 9:30-11:00am, there’s a Women’s Bible Study that meets in the church parlor. All women are welcome, and babysitting is provided with advance notice. Group leader: Pam Jenkins.
- A men’s small group meets from 6:30-7:30am in the parlor at Knox Church. The group is a mix of prayer and study. Group leader: Jim Anderson.
- On the second Thursday of each month, Esther’s Circle meets at members’ homes or in the church parlor. The group has devotional studies by different members and works together on service projects. All women of Knox are invited. Group leader: Sally Downey.
