Dr. Christian Collins Winn is teaching, “Christianity on the Silk Road” Mondays from 7-8:30pm in Belden Hall at Knox. The class, which runs through Nov. 25, is open to Knox folks, friends and the broader community.
“Many know the story of how the small band of followers of Jesus spread the gospel message around the Mediterranean world,” says Christian about the class, “but from the very inception of the Christian movement, the gospel also traveled east, along the well-established routes of the Silk Road, creating and forming vibrant communities of faith that stretched across central Asia into China and Tibet.” The history and the stories allow contemporary Christians to see that Christianity has always been a global religion.
Join us on Mondays for this great class. We know folks are busy, so no worry if you have to miss a few classes. There is no charge, but a freewill offering is available. If you have questions, please contact Linda Berg.
