This Sunday Christian Collins Winn will be speaking on the subject “… and Apostolic.” What does it mean for us to be the church? This is a perennial question that has faced the church since its first inception. The ancient confessions described the church as one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. But what do these mean today, in light of our many, many challenges? This coming Sunday we will consider the last descriptor–apostolic–as we continue on our journey of discerning where God is leading us as a community.”
“Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.” — 1 Peter 1:1-2
